Community Calendar Will Soon Be Available. The Liberal Chamber of Commerce’s community calendar will be available in December. The calendar features twelve men and women who have made a positive impact in our community. It also features numerous events that are scheduled to take place in 2012. This calendar is a useful tool for those who want to plan an event during the year but don’t want their event to conflict with other events that have already been set. Calendars are free and may be picked up at the chamber office after December 7.

State Legislators Visist Southwest Kansas

The Southwest Kansas Chambers of Commerce recently hosted a dinner at Southwind Golf Club in Garden City for all state legislators who came to the area to pheasant hunt. Each year several state legislators make the trip to Southwest Kansas to try their hand at hunting pheasant while enjoying the fellowship with their fellow legislators. The evening prior to the hunt, Southwest Kansas Chambers hosted 85 people at the dinner where chamber members had the opportunity to visit with the legislators.
